Peter and The Bees
Crafted for Bees, Designed by Nature
I've always had a deep passion for sustainable living, which eventually led me to the world of beekeeping. After seeing how traditional methods weren’t always in the best interest of the bees, I felt inspired to find a better way.
While exploring nature, I found wild bee colonies thriving in their natural habitats, and that sparked the idea for The Wild Hive. I designed it to mimic the cozy, safe feeling of a tree cavity, offering bees a place where they can truly flourish in harmony with nature.
With The Wild Hive, the focus is always on the wellbeing of the bees. I don't harvest honey for profit. When the hive is full, the bees can naturally overflow into a Honey Box in their own time - but having a Honey Box is completely optional.
My goal is simple: to create a space where bees can live sustainably and thrive. I’m excited to share The Wild Hive with you, and I hope it inspires you to join me on this beautiful journey to protect these vital creatures.

About Me
I’ve always been deeply passionate about nature, wildlife, and sustainable living. Over the last 20 years, I’ve spent my time planting and nurturing a Forest Garden on my land, watching it grow and thrive in harmony with the environment. It’s this connection to the land that shaped my views on how we should interact with nature—and it’s also what led me to beekeeping.
I’ve always had a great respect for honey bees, but I wasn’t happy with the way beekeeping was going. It seemed like the focus was on maximizing honey production rather than caring for the bees themselves. This didn’t sit right with me, so I started looking for a more natural and sustainable way of keeping bees.
That’s how Peter and The Bees came to be. I wanted to focus on traditional methods of beekeeping that put the well-being of the bees first. My Wild Hives are designed and handmade by me, with the sustainability of the bee population in mind, not to produce large quantities of honey. If you’re looking for a hive that will maximize honey yields, this might not be the right choice for you. But if you care about the bees, their health, and their natural way of life, then you’re in the right place.
